Small Hotel Barbados – Better than Luxury Hotels

I prefer cozy to luxurious. This is what guided my decision when we went to Barbados. A lot of people might disagree but a small hotel Barbados is a lot better than staying at a big hotel. And I did not regret the decision at all since it was one of the best vacations that I have ever been in. What’s the use of all those luxurious surroundings that you can find in those big swanky places with glittering candelabras and chandeliers everywhere you go? It all feels too much, too rich for my taste. I want the cozier type of place where one can chill, hang back, and be you. In hotels that are a bit smaller, you feel a little more private and you have more freedom to wear whatever you want. No one’s going to care. In the island, the local folk are just a bit more conservative than us Americans probably because they were once a British colony.


Barbados Apartment Hotel

Look at this small hotel Barbados. It is just so charming and tropical. The cozy feeling of being in a small hotel is something that grand hotels definitely cannot reproduce. In this kind of setting, making friends is also a lot easier since you may see your neighbors easily. Also, in this kind of setting, you can feel a lot more private.



Big hotels such as this one holds no appeal to me for some strange reason. Also, they are usually so full of people, you feel like you were living in a mall. And indeed, a lot of big hotels have their own large shopping areas which are open to public. So if you really want to enjoy a cozy private vacation in this Caribbean island, then get reservations in a small hotel Barbados. During our stay in the simple apartment complex, we had everything we needed, plus it was more affordable too.

My Review of a Barbados Apartment Hotel: Tropical Winds

We had the best time in Barbados for our vacation last week. And I’d like to write a review of the Barbados apartment hotel that we stayed in because I did not really find that many reviews of it online.

My husband and I were working in separate states. This was because due to the recession, he was moved to another location by the company. And of course, my work is still here in Ohio. This wasn’t going to be permanent though, only until the recession lasted. Anyway, we only got together during the weekends. So when he got a week off, we decided to spend some quality time and go on vacation.

The place was wonderful. The staff was all friendly. The cozy rooms and the homey feel of the whole hotel were surely worth more than the measly rates they offered.

The sun was shining brightly when we first got there. I decided to take a long walk on my own. It was three o’clock in the afternoon. I just asked where the direction of long beach was. It was the nearest one to the Tropical Winds Barbados Apartment Hotel. I love going on long walk by myself and my husband new this. I don’t want to be disturbed nor do I want anyone to worry about me or even think about me when I go on my solitary walks. That’s how I feel free. And in no time at all, I beheld the beautiful east coast of Barbados. It was a beautiful shore, with azure seawater stretching as far as the eyes could see. I didn’t even notice how long I’ve been walking probably because I was so preoccupied with my meandering thoughts. By the time I got back to tropical winds my husband has already woken up and was waiting for me by the restaurant. We had a great meal then we went back to our cozy room to sleep together. I knew then that the next day which would be full of adventure.
